WELCOME TO THE DOWNTON ABBEY ARCHIVE AT AUSTENPROSE
Downton Abbey is a British television series written and created by Julian Fellowes and co-produced by CARNIVAL FILMS and MASTERPIECE. Set at a stately home in Yorkshire, England, this period drama revolves around the aristocratic Crawley family and their servants. It first premiered on ITV in the UK in 2010 and on PBS on MASTERPIECE CLASSIC in the US in 2011. Six seasons aired on television between 2010 – 2015 comprising of 52 episodes. The Downton Abbey movie premiered in 2019, and the follow up film Downton Abbey: A New Era will release on March 18, 2022.
