Review Policy

Here at, we feature book reviews of Jane Austen’s works and her legacy including historical novels and nonfiction books in the Georgian through the Fabulous Fifties eras. In addition we also review period drama of feature length films and television series.

The reviews are written by a team of dedicated historical enthusiasts on a volunteer basis. Books are offered to the members by the blog editor and chosen based on their interest. We reserve the right to accept or decline to review any book that is submitted.

We accept free copies of books, movies, and on-brand products in exchange for an honest review. After reading and agreeing to our review policy, please contact us with the details about your product including title, author, publisher, release date, description, press release if available and a bio of the author/creator/writer. We accept print, digital, and audio copies of books.

In addition to posting the review on, it may be posted on online retail websites such as Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Goodreads, BookBub, NetGalley, Edelweiss, Library Thing, or similar review sites. The review is always shared on social media.

The reviewer owns the copyright of the review and retains the right to decide if it will be posted on retail review sites such as Amazon or Goodreads. Because of search engine penalties on duplicate material, it cannot be posted on websites or other blogs. You may use quotes from the review for publicity purposes, but please contact us for permission if you want to reprint large sections or the review in its entirety.
