Austenprose Nominated for 4 BBAW Awards

Book Blogger Appreciation Week 2009 ButtonNothing like tooting your own horn, *blush*, but Austenprose has been nominated for four Book Blogger Appreciation Week awards. Here are the categories and their descriptions:

  1. Best History/Historical Fiction Blog – This blog features the best reviews and specialized content on books about a time gone by.
  2. Best Specialized Blog – Cookbooks? Baseball history? Books written by people who have never been on a plane? This blog’s content is so specialized they are one of a kind…but their reviews really rock.
  3. Best Cultural Review Blog – This blog features the best reviews and specialized content on books and/or authors of a specific cultural identity.
  4. Most Prolific Blogger – This blogger is EVERYWHERE. You have no idea how they do it. They consistently post on their own blog, keep up with challenges, and comment on other blogs. You’re convinced they have a super power that somehow relates to blogging.

Book bloggers are nominated by readers, so I am quite honored to even be recognized. The Book Blogger Appreciation Week is an annual event created by Amy Riley of My Friend Amy Blogin an effort to recognize the hard work and contribution of book bloggers to the promotion and preservation of a literate culture actively engaged in discussing books, authors, and a lifestyle of reading.” The BBAW Panelists are now narrowing down the field to a short list in each category and their decisions will be announced on September 7th, 2009. The voting by readers is open from September 7-12, 2009, so be sure to show your appreciation to all those hard working and dedicated book bloggers and cast your votes for your favorites.

Best of luck to all of the nominees.

Cheers, Laurel Ann
