At Mansfield Park

Sir Thomas Bertram: of Mansfield Park, Northamptonshire and Jamaica. Baronet and Member of Parliament. Married Maria Ward of Huntingdon circa 1770. Uncle to Fanny Price.

Lady Maria Bertram: of Mansfield Park. Nee Maria Ward of Huntingdon with £7,000 dowry. Married Sir Thomas Bertram. Sister to Mrs Norris and Mrs Frances Price. Children: Tom, Edmund, Maria, and Julia. Dog: Pug. Aunt to Fanny Price.

Tom Bertram: of Mansfield Park. Eldest son of Sir Thomas and Lady Bertram, age 25. A gambler and a wastrel.

Edmund Bertram: of Mansfield Park. Second son of Sir Thomas and Lady Bertram, age 24. Attends Eton and Oxford University. Ordained minister COE. Rector of Thornton Lacey, and later Mansfield Park. Hero. Marries his cousin Fanny Price.

Maria Bertram: of Mansfield Park. Eldest daughter of Sir Thomas and Lady Bertram, age 21. Cousin to Fanny Price. Marries James Rushworth of Sotherton Court.

Julia Bertram: of Mansfield Park. Second daughter of Sir Thomas and Lady Bertram, age 20. Cousin to Fanny Price. Elopes with the Hon. John Yates.

The Hon. John Yates: Youngest son of an Earl. Friend of Tom Bertam with an interest in acting and theatricals. Elopes with Julia Bertram

The Rev. Norris: of Mansfield parsonage. Marries Miss Ward of Huntingdon. Friend of Sir Thomas Bertram. Rector of Mansfield and later dies. Uncle to Fanny Price and the Bertram clan.

Mrs. Norris: of Mansfield parsonage. Nee Miss Ward of Huntingdon (first name not stated). Eldest sister of Lady Maria Bertram and Mrs. Frances Price. Marries a clergyman (The Rev Norris), a friend of Sir Thomas Bertram. Aunt to Fanny Price and the Bertram clan.

Dr. Grant: of Mansfield parsonage, age 45. Succeeds to Rector of Mansfield after Rev. Mr. Norris dies. Brother-in-law to Henry and Mary Crawford. Made Dean of Westminster.

Mrs. Grant: of Mansfield parsonage. Wife of Dr. Grant, Rector of Mansfield. Half sister to Henry and Mary Crawford who share the same mother.

At Sotherton Court

Mrs. Rushworth: of Sotherton Court, Northamptonshire. Widow. Mother of James Rushworth. Along with Mrs Norris promotes his marriage to Maria Bertram.

Mr. James Rushworth: of Sotherton Court, Northamptonshire and Wimpole Street, London. Son of Mr. (deceased) and Mrs. Rushworth with £12,000 a year. Marries Maria Bertram.

In Town

Admiral Crawford: of Hill Street, London. Admiral in the Royal Navy. Uncle of Henry and Mary Crawford, whom he raises after their parents deaths. When his wife dies, his mistress moves in with him, and Mary moves out to Mansfield Parsonage. Assists William Price to obtain his Lieutenant’s commission.

Henry Crawford: of London and Everingham in Norfolk with £4000 a year income. Parents deceased. Nephew of Admiral Crawford who raised him. Brother of Mary Crawford. Half-brother of Mrs. Grant who share the same mother. Runs off with married Maria Rushworth nee Bertram.

Mary Crawford: of London and Mansfield parsonage, with a £20,000 dowry. Parents deceased. Niece of Admiral Crawford who raised her. Sister of Henry Crawford. Half-sister of Mrs Grant who share the same mother. Plays the harp. Falls in love with Edmund Bertram, attempts to befriend Fanny Price.

In Portsmouth

Lieutenant Price: of Portsmouth. Retired Officer in the Royal Marines. Married Frances Ward, third daughter of Huntingdon. Disabled after 11 years of active duty.

Mrs. Frances Price: of Portsmouth. Nee Frances Ward of Huntingdon. Youngest sister to Mrs. Norris and Lady Bertram. Married Lieutenant Price of the Marines causing a rift in family. Children: William, Fanny, Mary (deceased), Susan, John and Richard, Tom, Charles, and Betsy.

Lieutenant William Price: of Portsmouth. Eldest son of Lt. and Mrs. Price, age 19. Joins the Royal Navy and serves as Midshipman with Captain Marshall. Assisted by Henry Crawford’s uncle Admiral Crawford, he obtains the rank of Second Lieutenant. Fanny’s favorite sibling.

John Price: of Portsmouth. Second son of Lt. and Mrs. Price.

Richard Price: of Portsmouth. Third son of Lt. and Mrs. Price.

Sam Price: of Portsmouth. Fourth son of Lt. and Mrs. Price, age 11.

Charles Price: of Portsmouth. Fifth son of Lt. and Mrs. Price, age 8.

Tom Price: of Portsmouth. Sixth son of Lt. and Frances Price, age 9.

Fanny Price: of Portsmouth and Mansfield Park. Eldest daughter of the Lt. and Mrs Price, age 18. Resides with her cousins the Bertrams at Mansfield Park. Heroine. Marries her cousin Edmund Bertram.

Mary Price: of Portsmouth. Second daughter of Lt. and Mrs. Price. Deceased

Susan Price: of Portsmouth. Third daughter of Lt. and Mrs. Price. When 14, moves to Mansfield Park to take Fanny’s Place as Lady Bertram’s companion.

Betsy Price: of Portsmouth. Youngest daughter of Lt. and Mrs. Price, age 5.
