I’m not sure why, but I find myself picking up MR DARCY’S OBSESSION and reading my favorite bits almost weekly. Whether that makes it my favorite, I don’t know. I think MR DARCY’S REFUGE is admirable because of the unique setting used to show us Darcy and Elizabeth’s characters in a new light.

Years and years ago I saw an announcement regarding the publishing of a P&P sequel on a different website. Because of this post, I went digging for it. All I could remember is that it focuses on Charlotte Collins (nee Lucas) as a missionary to India. Interesting that so many of the sequels seem to be Darcy-focused. I can think of several reasons for this, most of them somewhat cynical, but I’d like to hear your opinion on this. (From a creative standpoint, Elizabeth is so mercurial I find her a joy to write, whereas getting Darcy down on paper can be something of a bear.)
My own favorite, by the way, is Carrie Bebris’ Pride and Prescience. Her Elizabeth Bennett Darcy is an absolute delight.

I haven’t read too many of the books on the list, but of the Austen adaptations I’ve read, Pamela Aidan’s trilogy, hands down is my favorite.

I have to agree, Pamela Aidan’s trilogy is excellent- probably my favourite! I do like’ Mr Darcy’s Diary’ and ‘Only Mr Darcy will do’/’Darcy’s voyage’ by Kara Louise as well.

I would have to agree with Keith C. that my favorite is Carrie Bebris’ Pride and Prescience. I’ve read it twice and just love the “detective duo” angle.

Well I’ve read lots and lots of Austen-inspired books but only a few of those in your list. Of these ones, my favourite is Mr Darcy’s Obsession, it really is lovely, and I felt that Lizzy and Darcy’s characters were captured really well by the author. I’ve been meaning to read An Assembly Such as This for ages, as well as Pride and Prescience, as they have such good reviews, but they are on the more expensive side of these type of books so I haven’t gotten round to them yet.
Of modern versions, I would say my favourite is Persuade Me by Juliet Archer, which is an update of Persuasion.

I loved An Assembly Such As This but one of my all-time favorites was a 5-star review right here: The unexpected Miss Bennet by Patrice Sarath. I also voted it one of the best books reviewed on Austenprose in 2011. The story just warmed my heart and I fell immediately in love with the heroine and her unforgettable hero.

My absolute favorite, other than the original Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, is Pamela Aidan’s trilogy (which includes An Assembly Such as This.) I always wondered how Mr. Darcy disappeared in the story, but then came back a changed man! I try to read the trilogy at least once a year! And I also enjoy reading Pride and Prejudice and the trilogy together.

So many of these are my favorites, but I will confess that The Other Mr. Darcy by Monica Fairview tops my list. I love it so much that I like to buy it as a gift to give away to other ladies that love Pride and Prejudice. I never thought a book would make me actually like Caroline Bingley, but The Other Mr. Darcy proved me wrong.

I have to add to the discussion above that Carrie Bebris’ Pride and Prescience is on of my favorites as well and was one of the first P&P inspired books that I read.

There are many here that I would love to read, but my favorite so far is, C. Allyn Pierson’s “This Our Life”… an earlier version of “Mr. Darcy’s Little Sister” which I also enjoyed!
